I'm having a hard time finding good minigames for RPG Maker MV. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place, but it was so easy to find minigames for vx ace. Minigames that could be a huge part of the game like Triple Triad, or just add to variety like the minigames from Sixth.

I am constantly searching, especially for stuff that can be used in commercial projects. All I found so far was:

https://galvs-scripts.com/2017/02/19/mv-prize-wheel/

https://soulxregalia.wordpress.com/2016/02/05/rmv-clicker-mini-game/

I would love to find something like triple triad for mv. But there has to be a whole lot more and I think I am just constantly looking in the wrong places to find that stuff. Maybe you can help me out?

There's the slot machine and the gacha plugins which came with mv 1.1.0

Here are some other links for you-
Mjshis' Matchcard Lottery
Soul's Rock Paper Scissors EX (Link is currently down, but he's working on reuploading them)
TheUnproPro's shooting mini game (eventing)

Henrietta is working on a triple triad for mv.

The other minigames you've probably seen like Galv's Invaders + Fishing Game can be used in commercial projects, but you need to contact the owner first and possibly pay for a licence. If you're trying to sell the game, it's probably worth paying that little bit more to be able to use these cool things, or to commission a scripter to make you a brand new mini game, just to help your game stand out and make people want to buy it ^^

Any evented minigames from old makers should be easy to convert to MV. There's alot you can do without plugins anyway, and if you get stuck, I'm sure people on the forum will be able to help Good minigames for MV (7)

Yeah. Lots of mini games in Ace are evented too, or they can be evented. It all honestly depends on what you want for your game. Something like a lock-picking mini-game will probably be somewhat simple to event. I've never tried to do it, but I go around the forums a lot searching for people to make events for. If you ever need help converting a scripted mini-game into events, I'd be glad to help you on that.
There are some restrictions as to what can be done with events in RM, like, I have yet to find a single person who has made a matching icon game with events, because, well, it's kind of ridiculous, if not impossible. Heck, it's hardly even been done with scripts.

Many of them are evented, not scripted, which is why you aren't finding much. For example, I managed to event a roulette game, a battle arena, and a maze runner game. All it takes is getting clever with events. Why you could probably event Triple Triad if you got clever enough!

That Henrietta thread made my day! Thanks so much! I know about slot machine and gacha, but these aren't the ones I am looking for. That Mjshis Matchcard lottery definetly is something I have to check out, looks good...but I think it is also entirely based on luck, which I don't like that much!

I am looking for everything that adds variety to my games. That is a) Minigames that involve some skill (reaction, memory, math or whatever) and are not purely based on luck. Something like the Fishing game in stardew valley. I think it's way more interesting when the player for example wants to do mining and the amount of ore he can get is determined by a skill minigame. Then b) Small games like for example the 3 card monte or the dice game from the witcher. Something that gives you a short break from the actual game. And finally c) big games like Triple Triad, Pauaak from KOTOR or Gwent, that can become an entire part of the game with the player spending not only time to play but to find other cards and optimizing the card deck.

My suggestion is to honestly make the game first, then worry about what minigames you can put in. There's a tendency to want to shove everything under the sun into a game even if it makes no sense or adds nothing to your game. So make the main game first. Then, once it is done, you should have the eventing experience to make mini-games, and you'll know if they even fit your game by then as well.

Plus, if you really want a complicated one like a card game, you'll probably have to hire a programmer. Keep in mind those do not come cheap, and you'll need a budget of at least $1000 to get any good programmer to even take your offer seriously. So maybe make the main game first, and use the time to save up the money so you can hire someone to make the minigame scripts you want.

Also, incidentally, it is because of the cost and time involved why you are seeing so few for MV. MV has only been out 1.5 months. Any free to use plug-ins are going to take 3 - 4 years to complete most likely as it will be written on the programmers spare time.

That suggestion is not that good when you rely on minigames for certain tasks of the game. If you are creating a prison scenario for example, where the prisoners (and you) are forced to work in the mines, digging for ore, and you want to want to have a minigame for the mining itself, then you better make sure you find a decent and fun minigame for it. You could for example do it with Mjshis Matchcard Lottery...changing the graphics from cards to stones, changing the default sound to a mining sound.

I just want to know what's out there. And Rhino already helped a lot posting minigames I didn't know about. I found a sliding puzzle just hours ago...I think there's a lot more to be found.
