Who is the best rare in Battle Cats? ›

Cat Units are sorted into six different rarities: Normal, Special, Rare, Super Rare, Uber Super Rare and Legend Rare. Rarer cats tend to be more powerful, but also cost more to deploy and recharge slower. There are also three sub-rarities: Legend (Special), Li'l (Special) and Crazed (Super Rare).

Best of the Best (超選抜祭ガチャ, Chō Senbatsusai Gacha, Super Selection Festival Gacha) is a Rare Cat Capsule event introduced in Version 6.6. There are multiple iterations of this set, each featuring different units.

Due to relying only on the Dodge ability, there is not much reason to level Suntan Cat up unless you want to unlock his True Form, especially considering how expensive he is as a Super Rare.

Gold Cat is a rather unremarkable unit on itself before True Form that can serve as an additional cheap meatshield in any stage of the game, identical to Cat, although it does have a small number of qualities that differentiate it from other equivalents.

I would recommend to buy Boogie Cat, as it is an aditional meatshield and is extremely cheap to use and upgrade, Sumo Cat is another tanky meatshield but you should buy it later as it is too expensive, Dom Cat is pretty good in True Form.

Strategy/Usage

Zombie Cat is meant to be a light version of Fish Cat, as he is weaker but cheaper and faster-recharging. Use him against some of the weaker Red enemies in Empire of Cats. Despite losing use quickly outside of Empire of Cats, he is included in a few notable Cat Combos: Biohazard and Horror Movies.
